“The Diné People are no strangers to new information, new technologies, and new other-than-human-beings.” -Dr. Angelo Baca
Indian Law: Tribal Nations and AI
Arizona Attorney Magazine (August 2025)
The status of the world today and its technology shifts are sudden and dramatic; we are determined to stay ahead of it. We will not have technology or data acquisition done to us, rather, we strive to do our best to get ahead of it and use our tribal sovereignty as the Navajo Nation to do so.
We are dedicated and committed to asking hard questions and having the necessary talks, discussions, and important debates about what the data of the Navajo Nation means for the future of the Diné people.
